also often referred to as “training leads,” slip leads look like regular leashes but rather than a snap hook there is a metal ring at the end. simply pull the leash through the metal ring to make a larger loop that slips around the dog’s neck. they are extremely easy on, easy off.  as long as tension is maintained a dog is not able to back up and slip out which makes it useful for dogs new to you, skittish dogs, found dogs and quick in and outs. the ease of use makes a slip lead a great tool for training, dog daycares and self dog washes.
