Keep your dog’s ears clean and healthy with our Fresh Ear Cleaning Wipes for Dogs. The same bacteria and yeast (Malassezia) that causes tear stains is also naturally present in your dog's ears and can grow out of control leading to an ear infection.
Eye Envy Fresh Ear Cleaning Wipes are made from the same all-natural formula as our Tear Stain Remover Solution, with the key ingredient Colloidal Silver to control the growth of bacteria and yeast. These wipes will not only clean and soothe the ears, but will also help prevent ear infections. We’ve soaked them in just the right amount of solution. Not too much, and not too little. The perfect balance for cleaning dogs’ ears. Use them to remove debris, dirt, and wax buildup. Each wipe is textured to gently clean and helps remove buildup more easily than a smooth alternative.
They will also remove any nasty, yeasty odors. They deodorize but are fragrance-free, so do not bother sensitive pup (or human) noses. They are also hypoallergenic and like all of our Eye Envy pet care products, they contain all-natural, non-toxic ingredients. They are free from dyes, parabens, peroxide, steroids, and antibiotics. Simple. Safe. Effective.
Use daily to keep ears clean and help prevent ear infections. A jar contains 60-count ear wipes, which last 30-60 days depending on the condition and size of the ears.
What causes ear infections in dogs?
Research shows that up to 20% of dogs are affected by inflammation of the outer ear canal and that ear infections are among the most common recurring problems.
A common cause of infection is the excessive growth of bacteria and/or yeast. This is especially so if your dog has a weak immune system, allergies, or diabetes - yeast infections are always secondary to some underlying cause. Read ‘Facts about Dog Ear Infections’ to find out more.
Ear infections can develop when the skin lining in the ear canal becomes irritated, leading to inflammation. Inflammation can lead to excess wax production, which creates an environment where the naturally occurring bacteria and yeast grow out of control. Itching occurs and the dog starts rubbing its ear on the floor or furniture, and scratches persistently.
What are the signs of an ear infection in dogs?
Other than the tell-tale signs of scratching, pawing, and rubbing the ears.
Black, dark brown, or yellowish discharge
Waxy buildup on or near the ear canal
Redness or swelling of the ear flap or ear canal
Discharge from the ear that resembles coffee grounds (a symptom of ear mites)
Strong odor
Hearing loss
Loss of balance or disorientation
Head tilting / headshaking
Crusts or scabs on the inside of the outer ear
Hair loss
Crying or whimpering while scratching or rubbing ears
