All dogs and cats deserve a good home and a good life regardless of age, breed, or lineage. Adoption should always be an option. Our goal is to be able to completely fund the Downtown Dog Rescue which is currently dependent on charitable donation.
We started Animals Matter™ after adopting our fourth rescue, Katie, and now our fifth rescue, Daisy from the Downtown Dog Rescue. We met Lori Weise and Richard Tutlemondo both co-founders of the rescue as well as General Manger and Operations Manager of Modernica Furniture. After seeing the dog rescue, and the Spay, Neuter, and Vaccination program for the low income and the homeless, we were moved to help. We commissioned Lori to make some beautiful beds for our dogs- tired of the multicolored round cushions all over the house. The beds were made of maple wood stained and upholstered to match our furniture. Thus, the Companion Dog Bed had arrived!
