The Lazy Dog Cookie Co. began baking for the barking connoisseurs in 2001. We bake, ship and package our 100% All Natural Human-Grade Organic products from our facility in Upstate New York. We are a small wholesale based company committed to personal service. Our entire product line is baked fresh daily and is Wheat, Corn & Soy Free! The Lazy Dog Cookie Co Quality Control & Customer Handling Procedures
Our entire product line has a shelf life of up to 7 months (shelf life is the measure of oil rancidity only). Our packaged items will remain a soft texture for the entire 7 months and will have a lot# and a sell by date on the package. Packaged items must be treated as you would a fresh baked item. The shelves they are displayed upon should be cleaned frequently, stock should be rotated and stock over the sell by date must be discarded. Conversely, our bulk or loose items (no packaging) will naturally dry out from the air, but this does not affect the shelf life. The drying can be curtailed by keeping extra stock in an airtight container or covering the cookies in your case at night and/or refrigerating them. Our bulk or loose cookies also must be treated as you would a fresh baked item. You should clean your case frequently, rotate your stock and keep them out of an open environment. You also should check all of your cookies frequently for any changes. The day the cookies are produced begins the shelf life, not the day you receive your cookies. Any stock over the sell by date should be discarded. The lot# and sell by date for our loose pastries will appear on your invoice. The lot# and sell by date for our 5# bulk cookies will be on the box.
Lazy Dog uses only the best human grade ingredients and has many quality control procedures in place. Lazy Dog keeps daily batch samples of not only our cookie dough, but also our toppings. The samples are dated, cataloged and kept the length of their shelf life in our bakery under the same conditions as any store. Our stock is logged and rotated and all raw materials are frozen for at least 5 days. Our products are Veterinarian approved and analyzed at a certified laboratory. *Once our products leave our facility we have no control over the external environmental factors affecting them in a store. We are not responsible for any reimbursement if there is a report of a quality issue at the store level and there is not a quality issue within our facility.
